We appreciate how frustrating it can be not to get an appointment immediately. We appreciate this as we ourselves are also patients in other practices! We get frustrated on your behalf, not least when we witness the great number of missed appointments. We continue to ask that patients please inform us if they are unable to attend their appointment.
The number of missed appointments resulting from those DNA (Did Not Attend) patients amounted to 1,918 in 2025.
This could have facilitated a further 2,757 GP or Nurse appointment slots that we could have offered to you when you rang in on any given day! Taking into account that there were 253 working days in 2025 (Mon-Fri), then we estimate that the number of appointments we would have had available if patients had let us know they were unable to attend would have amounted to just over 10 extra appointments per day!!
